Prayer and Devotional Lifeline

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

As our Creator, God empowers us to have thoughts and emotions. Therefore, He is very concerned about what we entertain in our minds that dictate how we feel and how we respond to those thoughts. We have been mandated by God to entertain every thought mentioned in the scripters above. Our sinful nature can’t help us with these thoughts, but the Spirit of God reveals them to us.

The mind a spiritual battlefield; it’s where the sins an unbeliever commits have their roots. The thoughts of believers are shown through their spiritual character or the “fruit of the Spirit.” Let God transform your mind through Jesus Christ so that in your thinking, He might help you understand how valuable He is to you and how valuable you are to Him.

Follow along with us each month as we pray and let God take captive of our thoughts. We will share those thoughts with you concerning spiritual things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, and are of good report

Spiritual maturity often requires release. We cannot grow while clinging to old fears, past hurts, or outdated versions of ourselves. Sometimes the very thing we’re holding onto is what keeps us from stepping into who we are meant to be.

Prayer

Father, give me courage to release what no longer serves my spirit. Help me trust You with what I cannot control. Lead me into deeper faith, stronger love, and lasting growth. Amen.
